Headlines and Biggest Movers
- The top 3 teams remained the same as the week came to a close, with Teams Butler, Garlock, and Treska all winning their respective matchups. It won’t be long before we see two of these teams clash with each other, and that’ll be a treat to watch.
- Team Androsik had a great week, capturing a win against Team Mires, who was previously number 6 in the rankings. Androsik commanded the ball well throughout the game, and played lockdown defense that convinced me to have them take over that 6 slot.
- Team Shepherd had a rough week, sliding down 3 spots to the bottom of the ladder. It’s never easy to face Team Butler and Team Davis in one week, but unfortunately for the squad, they couldn’t handle the heat. They dropped the games 8-4 and 4-2 to the powerhouse lineups, and they’ll look to bounce back next week to get themselves back in the playoff picture,
An Exclusive Interview with Team Butler QB, Adam “Wrecking Ball” Butler
Garlock: I am here with QB Adam Butler for the first player interview on
Butler: Let’s Goooo!
G:To start off, how are you feeling about the rest of this upcoming season? You guys are 4-0 right now, what do you think the rest of this schedule holds for you?
B: Um, so, I mean we’ve hit a few bumps in the road so far, I mean our defense has been shaky at points. But I feel confident going forward, I mean this is our second year doing this as [a] team, as a full unit, so I think we’re gonna do pretty well. We have gone through some challenges, we’ve had some guys miss time, but I think we’re gonna cruise through…
G: Now, everyone who follows the sport of intramural football, they know about the superstars that are yourself and the Miller twins, but who do you feel is your most underappreciated player?
B: …I mean we got guys like Kade Brown getting the ball 3 yards out and taking it to the house, that’s what he does. But defensively, one of our underrated guys I think is Lucan O’brien. Defensively this man is a unit. He doesn’t get the reps on offense but he comes in on defense he does his job. I think he had 2 pick sixes last game. The man can ball, he’s got the size, he’s got the speed. He has trouble catching the ball that’s why he’s on defense but yeah, I wanna shout him out cause he’s been doing great.
G: What matchup are you guys as a team and you personally most looking forward to this year?
B: I’m not sure really. I’ve heard a lot of rumors about some great teams. What’s the one team… baseball team guys right? Yeah. I’ve heard good things about em, heard they could be a threat, but overall I think we don’t look at teams we don’t look at scores, we just go in and we take care of business. That’s what we do on the wrestling mat and we do it in intramural football.
G: That’s good to hear. One more thing, what’re your expectations for this team come late October?
B: Undefeated, absolute domination, we’re winning every game by at least 3 or 4 touchdowns. Absolute domination.
