Cooper’s Corner: Week 3

Coopers+Corner%3A+Week+3

Alright Edsmen, NFL Week 3 is upon us, and the football gods have not disappointed us. After going 2-2 officially 2-1 if you do not acknowledge the Browns, this week it is time for a 3-0.

Week 3 starts off with a Thursday Night classic AFC North rivalry, Browns at Steelers. Personally it is too early in the season, and it does not appear that Lake Erie will brew up any meaningful weather anomalies to throw at the Steelers. Both teams are coming off crushing losses, but the Dawg Pound will be rocking. Mitchel Trubisky, the Cleveland native, will be out of his depth in First Energy with Myles Garrett on his tail, Kenny ‘small hands’ Picket can not beat out Trubisky, and Mason Rudolph has nightmares of Garrett. The moral of the story is, Pittsburgh get a better quarterback! Browns big on Thursday Night!

The Sunday 1pm window features a dynamic matchup, Bills at Dolphins. The Dolphins took down the Ravens in a shocking upset in Baltimore, and the baking heat in Hard Rock Stadium will most certainly be too much for the Bills. There will certainly be Buffalo wings made of the Bills in Miami, as they win in a shootout.

The LA Rams travel out to Arizona to face the Cardinals. Both teams are 1-1, however the Cardinals will see out a victory at home defeating the Super Bowl Champions. Although the Cardinals have a very poor run defense, their pass defense will make the Rams quarterback look like Midthew Stafford, not Matthew Stafford.

Across the pond, on Saturday there is an incredibly intriguing Premier League fixture, that certainly will be worth the 7:30 wake up. Tottenham travels across London to play Arsenal, both teams have more than their fair share of stars. For Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus is absolutely on fire, scoring 4 goals and making 3 assists this season. Harry Kane is cooking in North London, having scored 6 goals in 7 games. Ultimately Arsenal will maintain top spot in the Premier League, having too much firepower for Spurs to handle.

Looking to watch football all day Sunday? Try out the other football, again in the Premier League. The Manchester Derby starts at 9AM, and you can watch the automatic goal scoring robots that are Manchester City dismantle Manchester United at the Etihad, a cathedral dedicated to the destruction of away teams.
