SEHS Varsity Basketball Trio Back for One Last Ride
November 19, 2019
The last three years of St. Edward basketball have been filled with success -most recently a trip to the final four ending in a loss to Cincinnati Moller. The Eagles have been largely carried the last three years by the trio of Grant Huffman, Devontae Blanton and Montorie Foster. Part of the starting line-up since almost freshmen year, the trio has led the Eagles to three extremely successful years, including 2 final four appearances. However, is their entire their senior season, all three have yet to wear a state championship ring.
Trips to the final four have not been in issue for the Eagles but as they continue to come so close to the coveted championship, St. Edward fans know that the clock is ticking. The main trio of the Eagles has only one year remaining as Eagles and their legacy would surely be strengthened by a win in Columbus. As Foster’s eyes are currently still focused on a victory in football, the basketball Eagles are forced to prepare for the season without him with the Davidson commit Grant Huffman leading the way.
