With the newest update of Bracketology coming out on the 10th, a lot of teams dropped and a few climbed up some spots. Syracuse (23-0), Arizona (23-1), Florida (21-2), and Wichita State (25-0) hold on to the top 4 spots, all with convincing wins. Michigan State and Duke swap No. 2 and 3 seeds with a Michigan State 60-58 loss to Wisconsin on a buzzer beater. Creighton (19-4) and Michigan (17-6), even after an 85-67 loss at Iowa, held on to No. 3 seeds with Iowa State (18-4) continuing to move up after a 3OT win over Oklahoma State and an 84-69 win over TCU. Cincinnati dropped from No. 3 to 4 after a 76-55 L to SMU and that win for SMU boosted them from the 11 seed to the 9 seed. St. Louis (22-2) moved from the 6 to 5th seed and don’t look like they are going to stop. Their 65-63 win over La Salle added another win to put their winning streak to 16.
Belmont (14 seed), UC Irvine (15), North Dakota St. (13), Boston U (15), and Davidson (16) are all new additions to the bracket, all coming off 10+ point wins except UC Irvine who squeaked by UC Davis 61-59.
Syracuse plays No. 25 Pittsburgh Feb. 12th, which will be their last major challenge until they travel to Cameron Stadium to face No. 8 Duke. Arizona will play Arizona State Feb. 14th, starting a 3 game road streak. Florida plays at Tennessee Feb. 12th and then they travel to No. 14 Kentucky. Wichita State plays Southern Illinois Feb. 11th and has the easiest final stretch left of the Top 4.
