Hello St Edward High school. Do I have some news for you? The St. Eds community has had a salsa making competition. We put our taste buds to the test to see if we could handle the heat. The competition was run by the Spanish Honor Society with the competitors being part of the society or being a faculty member. Who is going to do it the best?
Kyle Quinn and Justin Kenny are the reigning champs of the salsa competition. Though they competed on the same team last year, we are in for a treat this year as they will be competing on separate teams. Though they are on opposing sides this year, it has been rumored that Kyle Quinn did all the work last year and is going to destroy Justin. In addition to the heated competition between these two seniors we also have multiple first time contestants. Among them there were a few faculty as well as the juniors that nobody expected to win.
The competition began with only 2 salsas in mind. The expected winner was Kyle Quinn but the outcome was one that no one had even considered. The judging was done through multiple blind taste tests. With 10 contestants there were 10 different salsas to try. Out of the 10 there were the salsas that were extraordinary but also salsas that were very lackluster. After going through multiple bags of chips and tasting every salsa that was created we were tasked with choosing the best salsa. Still at this point even without knowing who’s salsa belonged to who, the general idea was that the winner would either belong to Kyle or Justin. The votes were counted and the best salsa had been decided. It was an absolute upset, neither Kyle or Justin made the winning salsa or even came in second place. The winner of the salsa making competition was first year contestant YON GERMAN. Making a sweet and flavorful salsa Yon has upset the century with this victory.
Now only one question remains. Will You win again next year and will a new salsa champion rise up?
