NBA Media Day happened not too long ago, and we got to witness another of Jimmy Butler’s hairstyles. Whereas Media Day is seen as a special day for players to really experience the NBA, Jimmy Butler takes an unconventional approach.
“What’s this. This is my emotional state, I’m one with my emotions” Jimmy Butler said during his interview on the Heat’s Media Day.
Adopting a more ‘emo’ look, Jimmy Butler had social media and NBA players going crazy with this haircut.
“What is wrong with this man? No, man. That’s not real. Oh my god, bro,” Bam Adebayo said. “I knew I should have worn a blonde ‘fro. I’m going to start having fun in training camp.”
“Nobody does Media Day like Jimmy Butler does Media Day.” – Miami Heat, Twitter.
“Jimmy Butler with another classic #NBAMediaDay look 😂” – NBA, Twitter
“Another new look for Jimmy Butler on media day 😂” – Overtime, Twitter
This isn’t far off from unusual for Jimmy Butler. In fact, he’s done the same last year; opting for a look of dreads rather than this emo look.
Although these looks are crazy for anyone to adopt, it is well-known that Butler does this to troll the NBA.
Before the interview, Butler quotes, “Don’t make me break character right now” as he covers his face.
For instance, the NBA has to use these media day photos for every game, which gives a good laugh to anyone who sees Jimmy Butler on game day.
Sadly, Butler has not kept these wack haircuts but instead goes with a more traditional haircut.
The haircut above is probably better to play ball in. That day is just another example that Jimmy Butler is one of the most well-rounded players and isn’t afraid to share a couple of laughs. NBA Media Day is a time when we can see new or old players in different uniforms and, sometimes, witness the occasional “Jimmy Butler Haircut.
