Welcome back to Cooper’s Corner Week 4:
This week is absolutely loaded with games, an absolute masterclass of games.
The 3:30 window has 3 mouth watering games on tap:
Colorado(19) @ Oregon(10):
Coach Prime and the 3-0 Buffalos take on undefeated Oregon. With all the hype surrounding Colorado, I struggle to buy into the legitimacy of the Buffalos after 3 lackluster wins. Oregon is a legitimate Pac 12 contender, and I think that the Ducks will hand Prime his first loss.
Ole Miss(15) @ Alabama(13):
The struggling Tide welcome the Rebels into Tuscaloosa, and if we know Nick Saban he is chomping at the bit to get a quality win on his resume this season. Although Alabama is struggling at quarterback, I think that they are too talented and hungry to lose back to back games especially to Lane Kiffen.
UCLA(22) @ Utah(11):
In another quality PAC 12 clash, which will be the last time we will see this game in the foreseeable future. With headlines discussing Kyle Wittingham’s press conference, you know that it is time for college football. I think the Utes stay undefeated at home in a sneaky good game.
If you thought you the games could not get any more interesting just wait till 7 o’clock:
Oregon State(14) @ Washington State(21):
A clash between the 2 left over PAC 12 teams, both of whom I buy into heavily. I think that although WASU is at home and a very good team, D.J. U and the Beavers get it done, legitimizing their shot at a power conference next year.
Iowa(24) @ Penn State(7):
In a very good late BIG 10 game, the White Out is in full effect in Happy Valley, and Iowa will not be ready. Their lackluster offense is in dire need of improvement, and the hostile conditions are not conducive to the fostering of offense. Although Iowa’s defense is very good, and I do not believe in Drew Allar (just look what Ed’s did against him) I think PSU gets a late score to win the game. Expect a low scoring affair. 13-3 in favor of the Nittany Lions.
Ohio State(6) @ Notre Dame(9):
A rivalry that splits the hearts of many in the Northeast Ohio area, the Buckeyes travel to South Bend with some lingering quarterback questions. This marquee matchup impacts the playoff quite early in the calendar. Sam Hartman is on the lookout for a major bowl appearance, and if the rib bone around his neck is any indication he is more than ready to give himself the extra motivation to win. The Buckeyes face look to see what they have at quarterback and South Bend is not the best place to discern who is most effective. The Irish are wearing all green in prime time and ready to go. I believe that Notre Dame gets the win in an extremely close matchup.
