Faculty Lineup Review with Laser Focused Fantasy: Team Urban
Hey, fantasy footballers!
We are introducing a new segment of Laser Focused Fantasy. For the remainder of the season in addition to weekly “loves/hates,” I am reviewing and giving grades to different faculty and staff fantasy teams around the school. Our first faculty team review is Mr. Urban’s team from his Advisory League.
Now just looking at Mr. Urban’s team I think it’s pretty good for being a 14 team PPR league. His overall record through week 6 is 3-3. After starting the season 0-3, he has clawed his way back to even.
STARTERS
QB Lamar Jackson RB Ezekiel Elliott RB James White WR Terry McLaurin WR DK Metcalf TE George Kittle
FLEX Travis Fulgham D/ST Seattle K Kai Fairbairn
BENCH
TE Jimmy Graham RB Myles Gaskin WR Sterling Shepard WR Russell Gage QB Jared Goff RB Rex Burkhead
The best part of his team is WR core. Both McLaurin and Metcalf were steals this year. They are getting great volume and are both great deep threats in the passing game.
Now RB is where his team is lacking a little. Elliott is a great running back but I am worried about him with Dak Prescott being out for the season. After Elliott he doesn’t have much if something were to happen to him. He also has three QB’s, where if you have a guy like Lamar Jackson you are going to start him every week. I would drop Daniel Jones and look for any running back that has potential like J.K. Dobbins or Justin Jackson.
The only other critique I have is I would not have drafted Lamar Jackson there were plenty of other quarterbacks out there that he could have got that are doing just as good as Lamar. He could have used that pick to get another starting running back other than James White.
Overall Team Grade: B
Best of luck the rest of the season, Mr. Urban!
