Laser Focused Fantasy Football: Week 5
Love: Jared Goff @ Was
Washington doesn’t have as good a defense as we all thought they did. What made them so good was their front seven and a number of them are out for this coming game against the Rams, making it an easy day for Goff to throw when and wherever he wants. I have a feeling we are going to see Jared Goff that made it to the Super Bowl in 2018.
Love: Joshua Kelley @ NO
With Austin Ekeler out for at least the next 6 weeks everyone is looking for the next man up. That man is Joshua Kelley. Throughout his first four weeks he has shown that he can both run and catch the ball. Which is huge for any running back in the league right now. With Justin Herbert at QB I have a feeling that he is going to be throwing a lot of dumb passes to Kelley to get warmed up against the 16th ranked Saints defense.
Love: Robby Anderson @ Atl
This is a name that I never expected to say in any of my lists this year. Yet here I am because he has had 100 receiving yards in three of his first four games. Plus he is playing against Atlanta and I am not sure if they have made a stop all season. I would expect another week 1 performance from Anderson this week.
Hate: Tyler Boyd @ Bal
Boyd is going up against a tough Baltimore defense which will be the hardest matchup they have had all season. I am not so much worried about Boyd showing up to play but, I am worried about Burrow getting him the ball. The Bengals go there first win last week and I think that will get to all of there heads resulting to a tough game this week.
Hate: Derrick Carr @ KC
Derrick Carr has been doing well averaging 20 points a week so far but that is all going to change in a divisional matchup against the Chiefs. I predict a very low scoring game for the Raiders and for Carr to get roughed up by that Chiefs defense.
Hate: Miles Sanders @ Pit
This is an in state matchup and the Steelers will be well rested since they had their bye week changed to last week due to COVID issues. Sanders production has slowly gone down every week and I don’t see that changing this week. I would look for the Steel Curtain to shut Sanders and the whole Eagles offense down.
