Laser Focused Fantasy Football: Week 4
As of this writing, the news of Cam Newton contracting Coronavirus is just breaking. With the Titans and Steelers already out…and now possibly the Patriots and Chiefs, you could find yourself running low on options this week.
Here are my love/hate options for some players that may be available in your league:
LOVE
Love: David Johnson – yes, I loved him last week as well (thank goodness for that touchdown). Much easier go this week against a weak Minnesota run-D. I look for him to easily eclipse his week one total of 77 yards…my other thought is that if I stick with him long enough, odds are that he will eventually go off.
Love: Matthew Stafford – he’s at home against a Saints secondary missing its two best players. Add in the return of Kenny Golladay and I’m seeing touchdowns. There are going to be a lot of points scored in this game and Stafford will get his fair share.
Love: Mo Alie-Cox – he had a 100 yard receiving game in week two that he followed up with 50 yards and a score last week. I see him putting both of those together this week in what should be a higher scoring game against a Nick Foles led Bears team with a mediocre defense.
HATE
Hate: Golden Tate – Currently the most productive Giants receiver, he should expect to see a lot of attention from the Rams defense who is looking to get back in the win column after a disappointing 3-point loss to the Bills.
Hate: Jimmy Graham – sure, he has three touchdowns this season…but only 10 catches. I see a return of his week two numbers (1 catch for 18 yards) against a Colts defense who has shut down opposing TEs this season.
Hate: Gardner Minshew – I know he is playing the Bengals, but believe it or not, they aren’t that bad. Expect a fired up Bengals defense looking to build off their tie with the Eagles. The game is in Cincy with rain in the forecast, I see a low scoring game with not much production from the Jags offense.
